Diego Berber

Owner - Operator

Company founder Diego Berber has been interested in multimedia ever since Sears used to smell like fresh popcorn and the best arcade in Santa Barbara was surrounded by a miniature golf course, batting cages and Bob's Big Boy.

While pursuing graphics education at Santa Barbara City College, he received a graphics business management scholarship from Kinko's Corporation. Furthur recognition came with a Gutenberg Award for his efforts in producing an issue of Historical Diver, the official magazine of the Historical Diving Society, and a Department Award from the SBCC Graphic Production department.

”The mid-90s was an exciting time for me to get into graphics on a professional level, due to the industry's shift from analog processes to digital,” he explains. ”I was fortunate to get a lot of hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of traditional graphics production, from hand-setting lead type to shooting film on the copy camera, platemaking and running offset presses. That's a background that a lot of today's newcomers to the ’digitized’ industry will never be able to relate to.”

In his spare time, Diego enjoys playing the guitar, spending time in the outdoors, and lining up strikes with his BerberStudios.com teammates in a semi-pro league at Zodo's - Bowling & Beyond.
